O Jesus, Eternal Priest,
Keep this, You Holy one,
Within the shadow of Your Sacred Heart where non may touch him.
Keep unstained his anointed hands which daily touch Your Sacred Body.
Keep unsullied the lips purpled with Your Precious Blood.
Keep pure and unearthly a heart sealed with the sublime marks of Your glorious
Priesthood.
Let Your holy love surround him, and shield him from the world’s contagion.
Bless his labors with abundant fruit.
And may they to whom he has ministered be here below his joy and consolation,
and in heaven his beautiful and everlasting crown. Amen.

Grant that Your priests,
and future priests
may this day
in their spiritual exercises,
in their works,
in their relations with others,
do their best to please You
and to make themselves
worthy of the priesthood.
Teach them how to pray.
Make them love others
as You love us.
Give them a burning desire to do all they can,
and to give all they have,
in the service of others, Amen.
