“As many of you may know, our Ash Wednesday collection this year and for the next few years will go to the Indigenous Reconciliation Fund. This fund is being collected by Catholic churches across Canada. The money raised in our archdiocese will be utilized in healing and reconciliation programs for Indigenous communities within our archdiocese. The funds will focus on local programs related to healing, culture and language revitalization, education and community building, and dialogue promoting Indigenous spirituality.

This collection is an opportunity to support our Indigenous brothers and sisters, in healing, building community and for greater steps in reconciliation.

For more information, Archbishop Pettipas has shared a detailed letter that can be read on the archdiocese’s website – archgm.ca. We thank you for your support with the Ash Wednesday Collection.”
