For the first time since 2019, we will have a public Archbishop’s Dinner – hosted this year by Deanery 1 and held at the Ecole Providence School in McLennan on Nov. 3rd.

Doors will open at 6:00 pm, followed by the dinner at 6:30 pm. Afterwards, Archbishop Pettipas will give a talk and presentation on the topic: “What makes a church a cathedral”. A silent auction with donated items from the churches in Deanery 1 will be held throughout the dinner and an egg raffle will be announced at the end of the evening.  Tickets are $35 and can be purchased at the parishes inDeanery 1. (McLennan, Girouxville and Falher) or by e-mailing Karen Benoit: nkben@iwantwireless.ca

The principal reason for the Archbishop’s Dinner is to build relationships: mine with my people; parish to parish; and between individual parishioners from around the Archdiocese. However, there is also a fundraising component for support of the pastoral and administrative ministries here. To that end, the organizing committee is planning for both a silent auction and raffles at the dinner. I ask you to consider donating an item for one of the auctions or raffle. It could be a gift card to a local shop or restaurant, a handcrafted houseware, a painting or sculpture, a tool or article of clothing, there are no specific requirements or limits.

Your donation of an item for the live or silent auction is eligible for a tax receipt. Please ensure you

attach or otherwise include the enclosed form with all donated auction items so that we are able to

send you the appropriate receipt.

Thank you for your consideration and kind participation. Your assistance is deeply gratifying and appreciated.

Sincerely in Christ the Redeemer,

Most Rev. Gerard Pettipas, C.Ss.R.
